Hot ammonia has different properties than cold ammonia and this affect switches installed in heat pumps
To comply with the need for switches in heat pumps we have designed a special switch called HBSR-HP suited for ammonia with temperatures above 60 °C (140°F). The new switch has a different switch point compared to the normal switch HBSR but otherwise the two products are identical.
With the new switch for heat pumps, we changed the normal version back to the previous switch point. This is a small adjustment and makes it better for refrigeration systems.
For HFC/HFO/CFC and other synthetic refrigerants we recommend the HBSR-HFC. Read more about
