Technical data: HBSO-SSR-1/ALL
The HBSO-SSR-1/ALL is a high-end, low-temperature level switch designed to detect common lubricating oil in refrigeration systems. It is a universal product adaptable to a wide range of applications with the help of the HB Tool software. It is typically installed on compressors and oil separators but can also be used in other areas of the oil system. Its calibration ensures it's unaffected by oil spray and allows for a small amount of foam.
Technical data: HBCP-ST
The Compressor Protection Sensor is a DX version of the HBX Vapor Quality Sensor, designed for installation at the compressor inlet. It detects when liquid content in the gas exceeds a critical threshold, sending an alarm and measured value to a PLC. This data helps control the system and prevent liquid slugging by stopping the compressor when necessary.
The sensor reduces the risk of damage and breakdowns by preventing liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor. It's particularly useful in larger systems with multiple evaporators, offering monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. The Vapor Quality Sensor provides instant feedback by measuring the liquid in the gas flow.
Available versions include:
Rod Style: Installed in an elbow at the bottom of horizontal pipes, with 200 mm and 300 mm options for pipes up to 4”.
Inline: For both horizontal and vertical pipes, available up to DN100.
Strainer House: Installed in a downward elbow in an empty strainer house, detecting liquid on the walls.
Technical data: HBSO - Temperature range: 0...+60°C
HBSO is a level switch for detecting common lubricating oils in gas and air. Typically, it is installed in/on the compressor and the oil separator, but it is also suited for installation in other locations where you like to detect oil. The sensor's measurement principle makes it unique for these purposes, since the properties of the measurement principle allows it, among other things, to detect oil without detecting ammonia or water. It is calibrated so that it is unaffected by oil spray and only allows a small amount of foam. The sensor is constructed to resist high pressure and temperatures. For oil temperatures above 60°C (140°F) the HBSO-MT or HBSO-HT must be used.
The switch must be supplied with 24 V DC through an Ex-barrier, which must be an approved and certifided galvanically isolated interface barrier placed outside the hazardous area. The switch is a 2-wire design with analog output which either will be 4 (no liquid detection) or 20 mA (liquid detection). The digital input shall be connected to the Ex-barrier. The Ex-barrier is not sccope of supply. The sensor can be set-up for liquid type in the HB-Tool which can be downloaded from our web-page. See HB-Tool. It is as well possible to switch from NO to NC type in the HB-Tool. Diagnostic is as well a possibility with the tool. The programming must be carried out in an non hazardous area.
The sensor range include sensors for zone 0 and 1 according to ATEX/IECEx. The sensors can be used in device category 1G and temperature class T1...T6.
A 5 m cable with M12 plug type IEC61076-2-101 is included.

Technical data: HBPH-C1
HBPH-C1 is a display designed for connection with the HBPH-MK2-LT sensor. In the display, it is possible to calibrate and set up the alarm limit. The display is provided in a version for installation into the front of a panel, as well as a version built into the cabinet. The cabinet version has a 110/240 V supply and can be installed either indoors or outdoors.
The sensor is supplied with a M12 female connector used for connecting the pH sensor and a 5 m M12 supply cable.
Technical data: HBSR-SSR-1/IP
The HBSR-SSR-1/IP is a refrigerant switch designed for HFC, HFO, and CFC refrigerants, featuring a built-in heater to prevent condensation at low temperatures. This switch is ideal for use in freezers and outdoor environments.
Technical data: HBLT-W3-Wire & HBSLT-W3-Wire
The HBLT-W3-Wire and HBSLT-W3-Wire are innovative capacitive Wire Sensors designed for accurate liquid level measurement in industrial refrigeration systems. Built with a 1,5 mm insulated stainless steel wire, they can withstand high pressure and low temperatures, providing a reliable and durable solution.
Please be aware: If the sensor is to be used in water or other liquid-conducting fluids where high accuracy is crucial, a special kit is required. This kit serves to seal the open end of the wire, thereby eliminating electrical contact.
Technical data: HBSO
The HBSO range of Level Switches is designed to detect common lubricating oils in gas and air. Typically installed in compressors and oil separators, these switches can also be used in other locations where oil detection is required.
Technical data: HBS/ADAP/xxx
HB Products keeps various welding sleeves in stock for simple installation of HB Products switches and sensors. The range covers shorter and longer versions. In the long version, they are available in lengths of 50 and 150mm.
Technical data: HBS/ADAP/xxx
HB products has different thread adaptors on stock. The product range covers adaptors for 1”, 1½” NPT and BSPP and 1-1/8” UNEF down to ¾”.
Please note especially the 1-1/8” UNEF to ¾” does not comply with all our switches. All low temperature oil switches HBSO-LT and the switches HBSR/HBOR will either not fit or not work properly. Please ask for guidance.
Adaptors for smaller threads like ½” where you like to install a ¾” switch might work but the functionality can be affected by long narrow corridor - please ask for guidance.
