Oil Level Switch

Technical data: HBSO

The HBSO range of Level Switches is designed to detect common lubricating oils in gas and air. Typically installed in compressors and oil separators, these switches can also be used in other locations where oil detection is required.

Oil Level Switch - High Temperature

Technical data: HBSO1-SSR-1/xx-x/HT & HBSO2-SSR-1/xx-x/HT

The HBSO1-SSR-1/xx-x/HT and HBSO2-SSR-1/xx-x/HT are high-temperature Level Switches designed for detecting common lubricating oils in refrigeration systems. The HBSO1 models are ideal for PAO and mineral oil, while the HBSO2 models work with PAG and POE oils. They are typically installed in or on compressors and oil separators but can be used elsewhere in the oil system.

These switches use a unique measurement principle that allows them to detect oil without detecting refrigerant, making them perfect for high-pressure and high-temperature environments. They are calibrated to avoid false readings due to oil spray and can handle a small amount of foam.

These sensors are also suitable for use in transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems.

Oil Level Switch

Technical data: HBSO-SSR-2

The HBSO1 (for PAO & mineral oil) and HBSO2 (for POE & PAG oil) are Level Switches designed to detect lubricating oils in refrigeration systems. Commonly installed on compressors and oil separators, they can also be used in other locations within the oil system. The unique measurement principle allows these sensors to detect oil without detecting refrigerant, providing high accuracy even in challenging conditions with oil spray and foam.

Universal Oil Switch 24V AC/DC

Technical data: HBSO-SSR-1/ALL

The HBSO-SSR-1/ALL is a high-end, low-temperature level switch designed to detect common lubricating oil in refrigeration systems. It is a universal product adaptable to a wide range of applications with the help of the HB Tool software. It is typically installed on compressors and oil separators but can also be used in other areas of the oil system. Its calibration ensures it's unaffected by oil spray and allows for a small amount of foam.

Oil Level Switch

Technical data: HBSO - Temperature range: 0...+60°C

HBSO is a level switch for detecting common lubricating oils in gas and air. Typically, it is installed in/on the compressor and the oil separator, but it is also suited for installation in other locations where you like to detect oil. The sensor's measurement principle makes it unique for these purposes, since the properties of the measurement principle allows it, among other things, to detect oil without detecting ammonia or water. It is calibrated so that it is unaffected by oil spray and only allows a small amount of foam. The sensor is constructed to resist high pressure and temperatures. For oil temperatures above 60°C (140°F) the HBSO-MT or HBSO-HT must be used.

The switch must be supplied with 24 V DC through an Ex-barrier, which must be an approved and certifided galvanically isolated interface barrier placed outside the hazardous area. The switch is a 2-wire design with analog output which either will be 4 (no liquid detection) or 20 mA (liquid detection). The digital input shall be connected to the Ex-barrier. The Ex-barrier is not sccope of supply. The sensor can be set-up for liquid type in the HB-Tool which can be downloaded from our web-page. See HB-Tool. It is as well possible to switch from NO to NC type in the HB-Tool. Diagnostic is as well a possibility with the tool. The programming must be carried out in an non hazardous area.

The sensor range include sensors for zone 0 and 1 according to ATEX/IECEx. The sensors can be used in device category 1G and temperature class T1...T6.

A 5 m cable with M12 plug type IEC61076-2-101 is included.
