Ice Bank Sensor

Product code HBIB-5-MK2

The sensor can measure the thickness of the ice layer on a cooling pipe in a grounded metal water tank.

This ice bank sensor has the needed stability for larger ice banks. The latest version has been in operation in diaries from Q4-2023 where it is used for control of the refrigeration system and secures the desired ice thickness on the cooling pipes.

The sensor consists of an electronic unit from a level sensor and a measuring wire. The wire is installed at a gradually increasing distance from the cooling pipe and it detects the part of the measuring wire which is covered by ice.
